Discours, communication et changement social

Our researchers investigate discourse as contextualized linguistic, textual, and communicative practice with performative and constitutive effects. They investigate the interpretive functions of linguistic and communicative phenomena, from an interdisciplinary point of view. Many of our studies focus on semiotic processes in and through the production, distribution and reception of media contents. At the same time we are interested in the communicative and discursive constitution of societal phenomena. 

Cet axe aborde le discours comme un ensemble de pratiques linguistiques, textuelles et communicatives ayant des effets sur le monde social. Les chercheur-e-s de cet axe s’intéressent aux fonctions interprétatives de phénomènes linguistiques et communicatifs dans une perspective interdisciplinaire. Plusieurs études se focalisent sur les processus sémiotiques dans et par la production, distribution et réception de contenus médiatiques, tout en prêtant attention à la constitution discursive des phénomènes sociaux.
